Wolves defender Jody Craddock is back in training following a broken metatarsal and hopes to return to action soon.

Craddock picked up the injury in August's clash with Sheffield United and has made solid progress in his recovery over the past three months.

He is still experiencing minor problems and concedes that it has been a frustrating time of late.

"I'm still at the last stage of my rehab," the 33-year-old told Wolves' official website.

"I have trained a couple of times which has been good but at the end of the training my foot has started to ache, which I think is part and parcel of it.

"It is a bit frustrating because I thought once I started training that would be it and I'd be back in full training for good.

"It's not happened like that and I've been training and having a few days out waiting for the pain to die down.

"But I've seen another specialist on Wednesday just to have things checked out and it all seems okay."

X-rays have confirmed that the metatarsal is completely healed but Craddock is reluctant to say when he could be back in a Wolves shirt.

He explained: "I am almost there and so close but it is difficult because I just can't put a date on it.

"I'm outside with the physios doing ball work and everything that I can, but it's just a waiting game for the pain to go."
