Anderson: Room for improvement

Manchester United legend Bryan Robson has warned Brazilian star Anderson there is still plenty of room for improvement in his game.

The former Porto man is currently in his second season with The Red Devils and has become a regular in Sir Alex Ferguson's side.

While Robson believes the 20-year-old attacking midfielder brings plenty to the table, he also feels the youngster has a lot to learn.

Robson, who amassed 74 league goals for United, wants Anderson to tidy up his passing while also getting his name on the scoresheet more.

Still learning

"He's got a lot of attributes - lots of energy, but he's still learning and has a bit to go," Robson told the Manchester Evening News.

"He can be erratic with his passing and I'd like to see him score more goals. But he's got lots of qualities and the energy to get box to box.

"One of his best qualities is that he's not daunted by anything.

"Everybody talks about the flair of Brazilians, but the thing I noticed about them the first time I ever played against them was their mental toughness. Nothing fazes them, they just love playing."
