Andrei Arshavin's agent has claimed Real Madrid are favourites to sign the playmaker but there is also interest from England and Italy.
The Russia international was embroiled in a protracted transfer saga over the summer, with a number of major European clubs linked with a swoop for his services.
The likes of Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal, Barcelona and Real were all mooted as potential suitors but a move failed to materialise as Zenit held out for a reported £18million asking price.
Arshavin recently confirmed he would be keen on a move to the Santiago Bernabeu but his agent, Dennis Lachter, has suggested the Spanish giants could face a battle for his signature in the January transfer window.
Lachter said in The Sun: "He is being followed in England, Italy and Spain. Several things are happening, but we have had no concrete offers.
"Real Madrid are in pole position but we have not entered any negotiations."
