Kilmarnock have handed a trial to French striker Armand One as they look to bolster their attacking options.

The towering forward, who is currently a free agent after seeing out his contract at Finnish outfit Turun Polloseura, has previously spent time in Scotland with Partick, Cowdenbeath and Raith.

He is actively seeking a return to the SPL after three seasons in Scandinavia and may get his wish should he impress Jim Jefferies over the coming weeks.

The Killie boss is weighing up his options ahead of the re-opening of the transfer window in January and sees One as a prime candidate.

Option

"Armand was at Thistle then Cowdenbeath and Raith before Mixu (Paatelainen) took him over to Finland but their season is finished now and he is out of contract," Jefferies told the Daily Record.

"He phoned me and has been training for the last couple of days. He's similar to Mark de Vries - a huge guy - but it's too early to say if we'll be taking him on because we haven't seen him in a match.

"He can't sign for anybody until January anyway and would be available for nothing. If we can find an avenue to play him in the reserves or in a closed-doors game we'll do so.

"He could provide another option. We'll have to see him in a game to see if he is mobile or sharp enough but he's shown up well in training."
