Miller: Calf problem

Walter Smith has revealed that Kenny Miller is still an injury doubt ahead of Rangers' clash with Hearts.

Miller was forced to pull out of the Scotland squad last week after picking up a calf problem during Rangers' 2-1 win over St Mirren.

He missed Saturday's game against Aberdeen and will receive treatment later this week before a decision is taken about whether he will be able to face Hearts.

However, Sasa Papac (head) and Madjid Bougherra (calf) are both set to return and Smith has also allayed fears over Kris Boyd's fitness following a minor knock.

"I think Sasa will be fit for the game and I'm quite certain that Kris Boyd, who came off injured on Saturday, will be okay," Smith told Rangers' official website.

"I'm also fairly hopeful that Madjid Bougherra, who has struggled with a calf strain over the last few weeks, will come in again too.

"Kenny Miller has taken a nasty knock to his calf and that's one of those we'll have to take care of.

"We hope he'll be able to play for us this weekend but I'd say at the moment that he's a little bit doubtful."
