Hull City forward Craig Fagan has returned to training after breaking his leg in September.

Fagan suffered the injury when he was challenged strongly by Newcastle United midfielder Danny Guthrie towards the end of City's 2-1 win at St James' Park.

The 25-year-old underwent an operation on the setback and it was predicted he would be sidelined for three months.

Reports suggest that Fagan is on course to make his comeback in the New Year as manager Phil Brown confirmed his and defender Anthony Gardner's involvement in training.

Brown said in The Sun: "Anthony is out on the training ground on a daily basis and so is Craig."

Gardner, who joined the Tigers from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer, has been struggling with a thigh problem.
