Celtic ace Shunsuke Nakamura admitted their UEFA Champions League exit to Aalborg was one of the worst moments he has experienced.

The Scottish champions saw their European hopes ended in heartbreaking fashion after two late Aalborg goals saw them secure an unlikely 2-1 win in Denmark on Tuesday night.

Nakamura took some of the blame for the defeat after missing a golden first-half opportunity to score when he chipped over the crossbar.

The Japanese star, who has been strongly linked with a move back to his old club Yokohama Marinos in January, refused to talked about his future, but conceded the defeat was hard to take.

"I should have scored. The ball took a bad bounce but it should not have mattered. I saw their keeper off his line and tried to chip him," Nakamura told the Daily Record.

"It is a big disappointment. We were winning, playing well and looking good for another goal.

"Nobody said anything after the game. It was one of the worst moments I can recall."
