Larsson: Keeping options open

Veteran Swedish striker Henrik Larsson is not ruling out a return to the Premier League.

The former Celtic and Barcelona striker had a loan stint from Helsingborgs with Manchester United at the start of 2007.

The 37-year-old is currently a free agent after his contract with the Swedes expired, although he is mulling over re-signing for them.

Everton are reportedly interested in Larsson's services with Aiyegbeni Yakubu (Achilles) out for the season and James Vaughan (knee) out until the New Year.

Next move?

Larsson has confirmed he does not know his next move and that he has not ruled out the possibility of leaving his homeland once more.

"I am a free agent and have not yet decided what to do next," he told the Daily Star.

"I like Helsingborgs, but I want to see a change of attitude and in the way the club is run before I sign again.

"I have not completely closed my mind to the idea of going abroad again, so we will see what happens."
