Stoke City manager Tony Pulis has confirmed the club will look to strengthen in the January transfer window, specifically in attack.

The Potters have made a decent start to life in the Premier League having won five of their 15 league games to date, including home wins over Arsenal and Aston Villa.

However, Stoke have only averaged a goal a game so far this term and Pulis believes he needs to add one or two more attacking threats to his arsenal if they are to survive.

"The window opens in three or four weeks and we will be doing some business to maintain our status in the Premier League," said Pulis.

"We are a bit short in a few areas, particularly the attacking areas. We could do with a bit more quality and hopefully we can do some decent business in the window."
