Wolves have agreed a fee with Rangers for midfielder Alan Gow, skysports.com understands.

The Championship leaders are keen to bolster their ranks in the January transfer window and look to have made Gow their primary target.

Gow spent the early part of this season on-loan at fellow Championship club Blackpool and caught the eye with some fine performances at Bloomfield Road.

Blackpool were keen to keep a player who scored five goals in ten starts on a permanent basis, but it now looks as though Wolves have stolen a march on their rivals.

Wolves are thought to be keen to conclude a deal as soon as possible, amid interest from other clubs, and it is expected Gow will come down to Molineux early next week for talks over personal terms and a medical.

Gow, who made his name earlier in his career at Airdrie and Falkirk, is primarily employed as an attacking midfielder but is also capable of playing in more advanced roles.
