Calum Elliot returns to the Hearts squad for Wednesday night's SPL clash at Motherwell, after returning from a successful loan spell at Livingston.

David Obua is also available after injury, while Marius Zaliukas and Lee Wallace return from suspension.

But Christos Karipidis (ankle), Jason Thomson (head) and Laryea Kingston (hamstring) are all doubtful - while Bruno Aguiar is still out.

Hearts will be aiming to boost their bid to finish in third spot will all three points, while Motherwell are also in need of the points as they look to continue their climb away from trouble at the wrong end of the table.

Motherwell midfielder Marc Fitzpatrick has recovered from illness ahead of the game.

Fitzpatrick missed the goalless draw with St Mirren but joins an almost full squad for the Fir Park clash.

Only Brian McLean is on the sidelines as he continues to battle back from a cruciate ligament injury.
