Carlisle United look set to win the race for Preston winger Joe Anyinsah, skysports.com understands.

The 24-year-old has just spent time on loan at Brighton and they were one of a number of clubs looking to sign him.

Swindon were also interested, but Carlisle are set to seal his signature.

Anyinsah is no stranger to Cumbria having spent time on loan at Brunton Park in 2007.

Anyinsah is due for a medical in Carlisle and should sign within the next 24 hours.
