Ince ready to return

Ince: Open to offers

If something comes along that appeals to me or that is right, where I can build and have my imprint on the team that I run and how I want it to play then I'm here and waiting.

Former Blackburn Rovers manager Paul Ince insists he is ready to return to football management should a suitable opportunity arise.

Ince took charge of the Ewood Park outfit last summer after winning praise for his work with lower league sides MK Dons and Macclesfield.

The former England captain's tenure failed to go as planned and following a disappointing first half of the season was sacked in December just six months into a three-year deal.

However, Ince has been undeterred by the experience and following a short break the 41-year-old is now willing to entertain offers if he is given full control at the helm.

Eager

"I want to get back into football as quick as possible," he told Sky Sports News. "I've had Christmas with the family.

"The wife has got me hoovering and cleaning dishes and it's absolutely killing me," he joked.

"I'm in no rush, but if something comes along that appeals to me or that is right, where I can build and have my imprint on the team that I run and how I want it to play then I'm here and waiting."
