Ribery: Bayern will not budge
Bayern Munich executive chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge is unconcerned by Franck Ribery's demand to join Real Madrid.
The France international has stated that he wants to leave the Allianz Arena this summer, with Real eager to make him their latest 'galactico' signing.
But Bayern, who have always remained firm in their desire to retain the services of the talented playmaker, will not waver despite the 26-year-old's demands.
Ribery earlier told French newspaper L'Equipe: "I have made up my mind, I want to leave. It will be Real or nothing."
Rummenigge knows that Ribery remains under contract with Bayern until the summer of 2011 and will not bow to ultimatums demanding a departure.
He told German newspaper tz: "We are very cool on that sort of story, really.
"Personally, I read Franck's statement like that: either Real Madrid or nothing. And our clear reply is: nothing!
"Did one ever see us in haste? We are not worried or making haste. We keep standing firm, Franck will remain at our club."
Real have been flexing their muscles in the summer transfer market, splashing out a combined £180million on Cristiano Ronaldo, Kaka, Karim Benzema and Raul Albiol.
It now remains to be seen whether Bayern will resist an outlandish offer for Ribery, especially when the player has stated he wants to move on.
