Andrews: Subject of Fulham approach
Blackburn have rebuffed Fulham in their approach to sign midfielder Keith Andrews.
The Cottagers officially approached Rovers over the availability of the Irishman but didn't lodge a bid.
The 28-year-old was a key figure in the club's successful battle against relegation last season and it was always unlikely that manager Sam Allardyce would even entertain the idea of selling the player.
The Irishman was brought to Ewood Park by former boss Paul Ince from MK Dons last summer and benefited from fellow midfielders Steven Reid and David Dunn struggling with injuries for sustained periods.
Many questioned whether the former Wolves youngster could cut it at the top level, having carved out the majority of his career in the lower leagues.
However Andrews proved his critics wrong by making 27 Premier League starts last campaign scoring four goals in the process.
The approach from the Cottagers only confirms his progress less than a year after signing for the Lancashire club.
