Blackpool boss Ian Holloway has revealed his frustration at the ongoing transfer saga involving Charlie Adam.

The Seasiders have been chasing the Rangers midfielder for some time and felt they were leading the race for his signature.

With a £500,000 fee agreed between the two clubs, the 23-year-old appeared destined to be on his way to Bloomfield Road this summer.

However, Adam, who enjoyed a successful loan spell at Blackpool last season, is yet to hold talks with a disappointed Holloway regarding such a move.

"I've never known a situation like it. We have had a price agreed, but he and his agent have not come down to see us," Holloway told the Blackpool Gazette.

"I'm starting to think that is a bit rude, and maybe the writing is on the wall that he doesn't want to come, but at the minute it's sticking in my throat - I don't like that.

"What if he turns up tomorrow? Do I say: 'I don't want you? I could put other irons in the fire, but on this one I want an answer yes or no and then move on."
