Bristol City have completed the signing of Danny Haynes from Ipswich Town.

As exclusively revealed by skysports.com, Haynes has signed a three-year deal at Ashton Gate after passing a medical and agreeing personal terms.

The 21-year-old, who came through the youth ranks at Portman Road, has joined City for an undisclosed fee and he is Gary Johnson's fifth signing of the summer.

Haynes is excited by the move to Ashton Gate and is determined to establish himself as a regular in Johnson's starting XI.

"I like Bristol City as a club, I think this is a fresh change for me and I'm confident I can do well here," Haynes told the club's offical website.

"The move has come around quite quickly but I'm delighted with it. Roy Keane (Ipswich manager) has brought in new signings and has plans for other people, so this change is right for me.

"I've been at Ipswich for five years and their coaching staff have done a lot for me. It was hard to leave, but I'm sure this move to Bristol City is the one I need at this time in my career.

"I'm very excited about the move and I'm glad it's all sorted now.

"I played a lot of games from the bench for Ipswich and I want to be starting games, from the start of the season right through until the end."
