Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has insisted he does not want to sell Russian striker Roman Pavlyuchenko.

With the transfer window closing next Tuesday, Pavlyuchenko has been strongly linked with a move away from the club.

Pavlyuchenko has stated he is unsettled as he looks to be fourth-choice striker at White Hart Lane behind Robbie Keane, Jermain Defoe and Peter Crouch.

Spartak Moscow have revealed they are willing to pay £10million for their former striker, whilst Zenit St Petersburg have also been linked with the 27-year-old - who scored in Spurs 5-1 win Carling Cup at Doncaster on Wednesday.

But after the match, Redknapp insisted Pavlyuchenko would be staying put.

"His people came down the training ground yesterday, they wanted to have a meeting with me to talk about him," Redknapp said.

"He doesn't want to go and they don't want him to go. He's very happy.

"His only concern was missing out on the World Cup as he needs to play for Russia but it wasn't a case of him wanting to leave. He's got no issues with the club, he's very happy in London, happy at the club. I don't think anything's going to happen.

"I don't know what we paid for him, you wouldn't get him for £10million anyway. The feedback I had yesterday from him and his people was that he didn't want to go so I don't see him going. I'd like to keep him."
