Aston Villa winger Marc Albrighton has signed a new three-year contract with the Premier League club.

The England Under 20 international has come through the ranks at Villa Park after joining the Midlands outfit at the age of nine.

Albrighton made his debut for Martin O'Neill's first-team in last season's Uefa Cup when Villa travelled to CSKA Moscow.

The 19-year-old then made his Premier League bow as a substitute in the defeat to Wigan on the opening day of the current season.

Albrighton also featured in Wednesday's Carling Cup victory over Cardiff as Villa successfully reached the fourth round of the competition.
