AC Milan chief executive Adriano Galliani reveals that it is now 100 per cent certain that David Beckham will return to the club on loan in January.

Milan have been in talks with LA Galaxy for some weeks with Galliani cautious to announce the conclusion of the deal before everything is sorted.

The Milan chief did admit that the England international was yet to sign the contract but that everything had been agreed in principle.

The move will be identical to the one that saw the former Manchester United and Read Madrid star arrive at the San Siro last year.

The 34-year-old is keen to remain in England manager Fabio Capello's thoughts ahead of the World Cup in the summer as he looks to maintain his fitness.

Despite winning their last three games Milan still seem to be lacking confidence after a terrible start to the season under new manager Leonardo.

Galliani will be hoping that Beckham's arrival can lift morale in the changing room when he arrives in the New Year.

"It's 100 per cent certain," he told Sky Italia. "The only thing that is missing is the signatures but the agreement is complete."

No other signings

Galliani also confirmed that the club would not be looking to sign a striker in the winter transfer window.

"External forwards? We have (Alexandre) Pato, Ronaldinho and then we have a young player called Simone Verdi, then (Ignazio) Abate, (Davide) Di Gennaro, (Clarence) Seedorf. This is the absolute reality," he added.

While he also stated that Klaas Jan Huntelaar would stay at the club despite the Dutchman failing to find the net in his first eight appearances for the club: "Huntelaar? He will remain. He isn't on the market."
