Abou Diaby insists Arsenal are capable of going all the way in the UEFA Champions League.

The French midfielder claims there is no side in the competition this season that has Arsene Wenger's men running scared.

Diaby admits that Arsenal will need to cut out defensive errors if they are to taste European glory, but he sees no reason why the North London outfit cannot crack the continent this term.

Having made an unbeaten start to their Group H campaign, and with a number of impressive showings in the Premier League under their belt, confidence within the Gunners camp is high heading into a midweek showdown with AZ Alkmaar.

"It is always good to win every game and stay in first place," Diaby said.

"We need to work on our defence and make sure we stay focused until the last minute.

No worries

"We are confident of qualifying for the knockout stages. There is nothing for us to worry about and we are a good team.

"We want to show that we can get through this competition."

While Diaby has set his sights on landing the Champions League crown, his Emirates Stadium team-mate Andrey Arshavin believes Arsenal are capable of securing success both at home and abroad.

"I want to win the Champions League and the Premier League," said the Russian playmaker.

"I am sure it is possible for Arsenal to do that.

"We have to finish speaking about how young we are. I am so happy here, it's a new season and we need to play like we are a big and strong team."
