Koren: Keen to move on
Robert Koren admits his strained relationship with Roberto Di Matteo is forcing him to consider his options.
The Slovenia international has struggled to hold down first-team football this term, having been a regular under former boss Tony Mowbray.
He is at a loss to explain his omission and feels he is being unfairly treated at The Hawthorns.
With that in mind, he has stated his desire to secure a switch elsewhere during the January transfer window.
"I don't see eye to eye with manager Di Matteo," Koren told Nogomania.com.
"The biggest problem concerns my role in the team. We are on separate riverbanks on that issue.
"The manager is always looking for excuses regarding my involvement with the Slovenia national team. He always says that I come back tired when I return to the club.
"I'm really annoyed with everything and I'm not happy. I have spoken with Di Matteo but nothing has happened, and I guess nothing will.
"That is why I want to move away from West Brom more and more every day. I want to move to another club and I hope this will happen during the January transfer window.
"For the moment I don't know where I will go, but I would like to stay in England - where everybody knows me pretty well.
"I have been here for three years, but if an offer from another league came along I wouldn't say no.
"Celtic? It is true that I was close with Tony Mowbray, he brought me to England and West Brom. But then he went to Celtic and our ways separated. I have had no contact with Celtic."
