Sol Campbell has hit back at claims he walked out on Notts County halfway through a training session.

Former Arsenal and Tottenham ace Campbell controversially quit Notts County after just one game into a five-year contract at the ambitious League Two club.

Notts County director of football Sven Goran Eriksson accused Campbell of quitting the club during a training session.

Campbell, who is being linked with a move to Hertha Berlin, is angry at the claims saying he quit the training session because he was injured and revealed the whole situation in trying to secure his release is a 'mess'.

"I didn't walk out halfway through training, I had a hamstring injury," Campbell told The Sun.

"I haven't spoken to Sven since. Why should I? It's all a mess."
