Aguero: Flattered
Atletico Madrid star Sergio Aguero has admitted he is flattered to be linked with a move to Chelsea.
The Blues are understood to be long-term admirers of the 21-year-old and Aguero could have only enhanced his appeal with two stunning goals in their midweek UEFA Champions League clash.
Aguero is one of the most sought-after players in Europe following his goalscoring exploits at Atletico over the last few seasons.
Atletico are thought to have rejected an offer from Chelsea for Aguero in the summer, with the Spanish side keen to keep hold of their prize asset.
Aguero admits he is happy to be attracting interest from the likes of Chelsea, but insists that he is happy to stay at the Vicente Calderon.
"I know that people were saying they (Chelsea) wanted me during the summer and that there were several teams tracking me but nothing ever came to me and I am happy at Atletico," Aguero told AS.
"It's nice that people say I could play in a team like Chelsea, one of the best in the world.
"I like it (Chelsea's interest) and it makes me happy but I am the same person as ever and I think the same as before.
"I don't really want to think about any other team. I want to fight with Atletico to the death.
"I almost feel like I was born here. It's a club that has given me a lot, pleasure as well as pain, but it's a place I feel very happy."
