Darren Bent has revealed his delight at his recall to the England squad.

Bent has appeared for England just once since Fabio Capello took charge.

But his fine form for Sunderland, has seen him handed recalled to the Three Lions senior squad.

"I do think I'm playing better now and I'm really happy to be back in the England set up," Bent told the club's official website.

"Steve Bruce rang me when he found out I'd been called up and he had some nice words for me. That means a lot.

"It would be great to play alongside Wayne (Rooney) and hopefully we can start up a partnership.

"I'm confident England can beat Brazil, it should be a good game. I'm really looking forward to it."
