Zamora: Injury concern
Roy Hodgson admits Bobby Zamora is struggling to be fit for Fulham's Premier League game at home to Bolton Wanderers on Saturday.
Zamora picked up a groin problem during Fulham's 3-0 win over Blackburn Rovers on Wednesday night and was replaced in the second half by Zoltan Gera.
He is now unlikely to be fit for the visit of Bolton at the weekend, although Hodgson is hoping Andy Johnson will be available for selection.
Johnson has been out for almost two months with a groin injury of his own and was close to being in contention for the midweek encounter.
If Johnson also fails to make Saturday's fixture, then two-goal hero Clint Dempsey is likely to be pressed into a central attacking role alongside Erik Nevland, who opened the scoring against Blackburn.
"We've got two days to patch him up and you never know," Hodgson told Sky Sports about Zamora's availability for the weekend.
"It's a stiffness in his groin. We will try to work on it, but I'm not terribly optimistic at the moment.
"You never know, we might have Andy Johnson, we'll see how it goes for him over the next two days in training.
"We've got Erik and Clint Dempsey showed in the second half that we can count on him as well."
