Hull City chairman Adam Pearson is pleased with the progress the club have made on and off the pitch in recent weeks.

When Pearson returned to the KC Stadium as supremo last month the club were struggling for results and the pressure was firmly on Phil Brown.

However, the Tigers have beaten Stoke and Everton recently, along with battling back from two goals down to hold West Ham United.

Hull raced into a 3-0 lead against the Toffees and had to hold off a second-half comeback from the visitors before sealing the points.

Pearson insists Brown is not accountable for every problem at the club and is adamant the players are fully behind the manager's efforts.

Battle

"There are no comfortable games in the Premier League, even at 3-0 we knew we'd come out in the second half and it would be a battle," he told Sky Sports News.

"We gave one away early on, but the spirit, the performance and the desire was there for all to see.

"At the minute things are slowly starting to move in the right direction.

"We've got a good squad of players and they are all playing for the manager.

"It's not about one person, it's about the club coming together as a whole.

"At the minute there seems to be a spirit and a belief within the club, the players and the supporters."
