Marc Janko's agent has rejected reports linking him with a move to Birmingham City.

Reports have suggested Birmingham are planning a move for the Red Bull Salzburg striker when the transfer window reopens in January.

Blues boss Alex McLeish is set to be handed a hefty transfer kitty for January and it is understood bolstering the side's attacking options is his top priority.

Austrian international Janko has been mentioned as a possible target for McLeish, but the player's representative Georg Stanggassinger says he has not heard from Birmingham and that a move in January is impossible.

"I have heard and read something about interest from Birmingham in Marc, but I haven't had any contract with anyone from Birmingham," Stanggassinger told skysports.com.

"He has a contract until 2013 and Red Bull do not want to lose him.

"It is known English clubs have tried to sign him in the past and yes Marc would like to play in the Premier League in the future.

"But he won't move in the winter transfer window 100 per cent.

"It is not possible [to move in January], but maybe in the summer or in a year he could move."
