Wolves midfielder Nenad Milijas has expressed his delight at opening his Molineux account at the weekend.

The Serbia ace broke his duck for the newly-promoted side with a cracker in their crucial 2-1 success over Bolton.

Milijas insists he is accustomed to scoring long-range specials with his only surprise being how long it took for him to find the back of the net for Mick McCarthy's side.

The 26-year-old insists the only pressure on his shoulders was brought about by himself and that he now has renewed confidence for Wolves' upcoming matches.

Important goal

"It was an important goal for me, but at my previous club I scored a lot of goals like this," explained Milijas.

"It's normal. Last year, I scored 22 goals. It was an easier division, but there was no pressure on me here.

"The only pressure was from myself, because I had played so many games. There was a big pressure on this team though.

"This football is hard and different for me, but I think the goal will lift my confidence in the games coming up.

"The win was the most important thing. It was a hard week but I think we deserved it."
