Non-league Kettering fought bravely against Leeds United in their FA Cup second-round replay, but the League One title hopefuls eventually secured an away date with fierce rivals Manchester United after an extra-time victory.

Barrow will also face Premier League opponents in the shape of Sunderland in the third round after defeating Blue Square Premier table-toppers Oxford United.

Conference side Luton Town easily upset League Two high-fliers Rotherham United, Tranmere Rovers overcame Aldershot Town to schedule a meeting with Wolverhampton Wanderers, and Barnet were eliminated by league foes Accrington Stanley.

Leeds' match with non-league Kettering finished 1-1 after 90 minutes at Elland Road in a repeat of the first game, but on this occasion extra-time was available and the superior fitness of Simon Grayson's side told in a 5-1 success.

Barrow and Oxford both knew that a money-spinning, top-flight trip to the Stadium of Light was on offer after a 1-1 draw and it was the former who progressed thanks to a 3-1 win.

Luton had drawn 2-2 at Rotherham in their original tie, but the seventh-placed Blue Square Premier side easily dealt with the team who occupy third spot in League Two with a 3-0 win at Kenilworth Road to earn a journey to Southampton.

Following a previous stalemate, League One strugglers Tranmere knocked fourth-tier play-off hopefuls Aldershot out with a 2-1 win, meaning Wolves will visit Prenton Park in the third round.

John Coleman's Accrington edged past League Two counterparts Barnet, who had earned a replay after an injury-time equaliser in their original 2-2 draw, with a 1-0 victory at Underhill to face Gillingham.

Stockport County's home match with Torquay was postponed earlier on Tuesday due to a waterlogged pitch.
