Fulham have confirmed that in-form striker Bobby Zamora dislocated his collarbone in the 3-2 defeat at Stoke.

The 28-year-old has eased the pain of losing Andrew Johnson for the past two months by scoring 11 times so far this season, including six in his last eight games.

The Cottagers have continued to progress under manager Roy Hodgson this term with wins over Liverpool and Manchester United, but were off key in the Potteries on Tuesday.

Fulham's cause was certainly not helped when Zamora was forced off after just 54 minutes following a strong collision with Abdoulaye Faye, which saw the front man land awkwardly.

Hodgson also had to replace defender Brede Hangeland at the interval with the Norwegian suffering from a recurrence of a knee problem.

Unfortunate

"We're not being fortunate on the injury front this season," Hodgson said.

"I'll have to look at it but we, like most other clubs, are not in a situation where we are looking to splash loads of money around.

"We'll be keeping an eye on what is available and if someone is available at the right price and could help us out we would be interested but there are a lot of big 'ifs' involved in that."
