Hull City have issued a strong 'hands-off' warning amid continuing transfer speculation surrounding Stephen Hunt.

The in-form Republic of Ireland midfielder is thought to have attracted two bids from Premier League rivals Wolves.

Mick McCarthy's side are believed to have offered near to £4million for the player but the Tigers insist they are not interested in selling as they seek to stay in the Premier League.

In a bid to end the speculation, Hull have released an official statement on their official website to say the 28-year-old is not for sale.

It said: "Regarding Stephen Hunt, the club is now becoming bored of continual speculation within the local media surrounding his future and would like to place on the record that the player is not for sale.

"The club will not be commenting any further on speculation in relation to this player. He is not for sale."
