Manuel Neuer has reiterated he will stay at Schalke if the club qualify for next season's UEFA Champions League.

The goalkeeper is a reported target for Manchester United, while Schalke's Bundesliga rivals Bayern Munich are also admirers of the 23-year-old.

Schalke are determined to ward off interest in Neuer following speculation that they may have to sell the keeper due to the club's financial troubles.

Neuer has previously stated that playing in the Champions League on a regular basis is crucial to his prospects of establishing himself as Germany's No.1 keeper.

And he has again stressed that, providing Schalke qualify for Europe's elite club competition, he will be happy to stay at the club.

"I have a contract here until 2012," Neuer told Bild on Sunday.

"If we reach the Champions League, I will stand in Schalke's goal next season.

"Even if some people might not believe me, I do not pay attention to what happens at Bayern or Manchester United.

"Our priority is to get into the top three of the Bundesliga and make a name for ourselves in the Champions League.

"Our coach Felix Magath has given us the best possible chance to achieve that."
