Van der Schaaf: Heading back to Denmark

Burnley have confirmed Remco van der Schaaf is set to rejoin Brondby on a long-term loan.

Van der Schaaf has verbally agreed an 18-month deal with the Danish side, which is now set to be ratified by the relevant footballing authorities.

The 30-year-old enjoyed a loan spell at Brondby last season and the Danes were keen to bring him back.

The move will keep the Dutchman in Denmark until the end of his current deal with the Clarets.

Van der Schaaf has made only one appearance for Burnley since arriving at Turf Moor in 2008 and it appears he does not figure in Brian Laws' plans.
