Chamakh: On target
Bordeaux have moved eight points clear at the top of Ligue 1 after coming from behind to beat bottom of the table Grenoble.
Grenoble had hoped a shock would be on the cards as they went into the interval with the lead as Laurent Battles pounced just before the break.
But the home side were reduced to ten-men just minutes into the second-half when Jimmy Juan was dismissed.
Bordeaux took control with the extra-man as Yoan Gouffran equalised before Marouane Chamakh gave them the lead. Fernando Cavenaghi sealed the win late on for the leaders.
Montpellier moved into second as they claimed a late win at Lens with Victor Montano firing home with just minutes left.
Montpellier went above Lille, as they slipped to a 2-1 loss ay Sochaux.
The home side raced into a two-goal lead early on with Damien Perquis and Stephane Dalmat firing home.
Robert Vittek pulled one back, but Lille could not find an equaliser and now slip to third.
Marseille remain in fourth but have closed the gap on the top-three after they came from behind to claim a 2-1 win over third from bottom Le Mans.
Anthony Le Tallec put Le Mans ahead at the Stade Velodrome, but a brace from Mamadou Niang sealed the win for Didier Deschamps' side.
Lyon remain level on points with Marseille in fifth after a good 3-1 win at FC Lorient.
Pierre Ducasse had given Lorient a first-half lead, but Lyon hit-back on the hour through Lisandro Lopez, before Kim Kallstrom grabbed a brace to seal the win.
Sixth-placed Monaco also kept up the pace with a 1-0 win at Paris Saint Germain. Edel's own-goal with 22 minutes left gave the Principality outfit the win at the Parc des Princes.
Auxerre in seventh grabbed a last-gasp 1-0 win at lowly Nice with Ireneusz Jelen scoring three-minutes into added time.
Toulouse and Nancy both remain in mid-table following a 0-0 draw in the Pink City.
The final game of the evening saw second-from bottom Boulogne lose 1-0 at home to Valenciennes.
The only goal of the game came on the stroke of half-time through Gaetan Bong.
