Benitez: On Juve's radar
Rafa Benitez's agent has played down reports his client is being lined up to replace Ciro Ferrara as Juventus coach.
Both men have come under pressure and criticism at their present employers, with Juventus' struggles this season in many senses echoing Liverpool's.
The Old Lady were expected to mount a title tilt this term but like Liverpool are badly off the pace as they currently sit in sixth place.
A 2-1 defeat to Roma at the weekend has only increased the pressure on Ferrrara, with many speculating he is working on borrowed time in Turin.
Benitez is known to be admired in the Juventus boardroom but his agent, Manuel Garcia Quilon, is loath to be drawn into hypothetical scenarios.
On the contrary he claims Benitez is very much committed to Anfield, while at the same time conceding things can change very quickly in football.
"This hypothesis is not correct because Rafa has a four-year contract with the Reds. His figure is very important there, the idols of the fans are Gerrard, Torres and Benitez," he told calciomercato.it.
"At Juventus next summer? I don't know what can happen between now and four to five months.
"In football, everything changes very quickly, but the basic principle is that Rafa has another four-year contract with Liverpool."

I'm sorry to have to say it, but Rafa's had long enough and with the exception of Torres, his signings have been a dissaster. Along with Dossena and the blonde Russian tennis player; half the team should go; Leiva, Ngog, Riera, Babbel, spearing, Kirgiakos, Insua. None of these are international-class players, not playing for Liverpool anyway. Please Rafa, play Gerard and Mascherano in the centre, two wingers and two centre forwards - lets have a go!!!

Lee, Aaron & Miller good on you! More Liverpool fans venting their frustration on the Media's washing line! Its funny how the you three were most probably thinking RB was one of the best when we went top in the PL last season with 2 games to go! If you look at how far RB has taken us since Houllier then you'll appreciate the magnitude of his success, look at the stats for your own benefit. All top teams this season have suffered as a result of the PL increased competiviness. Man Utd aren't going to sack AF because they've struggled for consistency are they! Every manager makes mistakes when it comes to transfers & tactics but I suppose you think you could do a better job! Or do you think Jurgen Klinsman will be our saviour! Aaron - btw you mentioned boring tactics. Last season we accumulated the highest points tally for 18 years! BORING! Won 9 Successive home games, last achieved in 1990 by a Liverpool team! BORING! Went 31 league games unbeaten at home! BORING! Scored 22 goals in the opening 7 fixtures this season! BORING! Torres scoring 50 league goals in only his 72 appearance! BORING! Come on mate your opinions are purely based on mere and poor observations from media sources such as The Sun & Jamie Redkanpp!

I believe that Rafa will soon have to leave, he's on a managerial style that I think he only believes in. Awful state of football. Also poor man management. Though, I do not believe he will join Juventus.
