Ribery: Exit hint
Franck Ribery has cast doubt on his future at Bayern Munich by questioning whether they can compete with Europe's top clubs.
Ribery's future at Bayern has been the subject of intense speculation for the last six months with the Frenchman linked with moves away from Germany during the last two transfer windows.
The likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona, Chelsea and Manchester United have all been credited with an interest in Ribery and they will be alerted by his latest comments.
Ribery is worried that Bayern are falling behind their rivals and may not be able to challenge for European honours.
"Bayern is still a big club. It's one of the biggest in the world but I find that our team is not as strong as other teams, like Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester United, Chelsea," Ribery told RTL radio. "Maybe we will have trouble competing against these teams."
Bayern are keen to resolve Ribery's future and the 26-year-old is expected to reveal if he plans to leave the German giants before the end of the season.
"I want to win trophies and to enjoy myself. I'm not 20 any more. I am closer to the end (of my career) than the beginning," added Ribery.
Ribery also revealed he could be tempted to join up with France team-mate Thierry Henry at Barcelona.
"I get on really well with him. I know he would also like to see me there," noted Ribery.
"I know a lot of people would like to see me stay (at Bayern). Whether I stay or go it won't be an easy decision."
