Jason Price has returned to Millwall after Oldham elected against extending the striker's loan spell at Boundary Park for a further month.

The 32-year-old, whose initial month ended after Saturday's draw at Exeter, is now back at the New Den.

Oldham, who have been goal-shy all season, have secured Blackpool's Daniel Nardiello until the end of the season and feel they are adequately covered.

A statement from Oldham said: "Latics last week brought in striker Daniel Nardiello on loan from Blackpool and manager Dave Penney will now be looking to strengthen his side in other areas."

Penney's plans have, though, been interrupted by an injury picked up by Nardiello on his home debut against Leyton Orient on Tuesday.

It is thought Nardiello is facing between seven and ten days on the sidelines with a hamstring injury - with Penney likely to scour the loan market again for possible reinforcements.
