Former England chief Steve McClaren insists he is in no hurry to return to the Premier League.

After guiding Middlesbrough to Carling Cup success, their first and only major honour, and to the Uefa Cup final - he was handed the England job.

After failing to qualify for Euro 2008, he was sacked and he then opted to move abroad - taking charge of Dutch side FC Twente.

McClaren has now turned Twente into challengers for the Dutch title and he admits he is not feeling the lure for England.

"I might miss the passion and atmosphere of some Premier League games," he told the News of the World.

"But it would not surprise me if my next job was also abroad. And maybe the one after that, who knows?

"I've always liked European football and it's a great experience to have to learn a different way of life, a different culture, to have to adapt."
