Watford chairman Graham Taylor has hinted more players will need to be sold this summer in order to balance the books.

The Hornets have already sold the likes of Mike Williamson, Tommy Smith, Tamas Priskin, Theo Robinson and Jobi McAnuff to raise much-needed funds over the past 12 months.

However, Taylor insists they are far from being out of the woods, meaning more first-teamers could be offloaded in the summer.

"It is most likely the club will continue to trade players in order to reduce our potential operating losses," said the former England manager.

The Hornets' financial position would come under further strain should they be relegated, with Malky Mackay's side just one point above the Championship trapdoor.
