Plymouth and West Brom have been fined with failing to control their players by the Football Association.

The Baggies' 1-0 victory at Home Park on 6th February was marred by ugly scenes in injury time as tensions boiled over.

West Brom's Jerome Thomas had been sent off for a foul on Argyle substitute David McNamee when players from both sides became involved in a mass brawl.

The Championship clubs have now been punished by an Independent Disciplinary Commission of the FA for failing to control their players.

A fine of £12,500 has been issued to both parties although £7,500 of that is suspended until 1st June, 2011 and will be invoked if a similar offence occurs between now and then.

Winger Thomas has already served a five-match suspension after being charged with violent conduct for his challenge on McNamee.
