Inter president Massimo Moratti says that Mario Balotelli still has a future at the club after the striker was left out of their UEFA Champions League tie against Chelsea.

Press speculation has been rife in Italy after the 19-year-old had a reported bust-up with coach Jose Mourinho, leading to him not being selected for the London clash.

And Inter clearly did not suffer from his absence as Samuel Eto'o scored the only goal at Stamford Bridge to round out a 3-1 aggregate victory.

Moratti supported Mourinho's decision to leave the youngster out but is adamant that Balotelli will not be frozen out of the first-team set-up at the San Siro.

"Mourinho made the right decision and if he made the right decision it means that the others aren't doing their best for the club," he told Inter's official website.

"Balotelli has the talent and ability to be a serious professional. He will show us this and then we will all be at peace again."
