Watford have signed highly-rated Sunderland forward Ryan Noble on loan until the end of the season.

The 18-year-old striker will act as cover up front for the Hornets, who are just three points clear of relegation following their midweek defeat by Sheffield Wednesday.

Noble, who is a product of Sunderland's Academy, made his Black Cats debut as a substitute in the FA Cup win over Barrow back in January.

The England Under 19 international is expected to go into the Watford squad for this weekend's game with Middlesbrough.
