Barnsley have completed the signing of Argentinian striker Jeronimo Morales Neumann from Estudiantes.

The 24-year-old becomes the Tykes' seventh summer recruit after he put pen-to-paper on a one-year contract with the option of a further 12 months.

Jeronimo started his career with River Plate and played his part in Estudiantes' championship-winning season last term.

Tykes manager Mark Robins, who confirmed on Wednesday his transfer dealings were far from complete, said: "I'm delighted to have the opportunity to bring Jeronimo to Oakwell.

"I was very pleased to have the chance to get him over for a closer look, he has impressed me and I cannot wait to work more with him.

"Jeronimo will bring something extra to our attack next season. He has pace and can play anywhere across the front. He's an exciting player and one we can nurture and bring him on."
