Republic of Ireland captain Robbie Keane will be fit for his side's Euro 2012 qualifier with Andorra on Tuesday night.

The 30-year-old forward was substituted by manager Giovanni Trapattoni during Friday's win over Armenia in their opening group game, after recent struggles with a knee problem.

Keane came off shortly after Keith Fahey's winning goal in the 76th minute, but Trapattoni confirmed it was just a precautionary move.

He said: "I gave him a little bit of a rest because he had, not an injury, but some pain and I wanted to be cautious about it."

Ireland have been handed a further boost as defender Paul McShane has rejoined the squad after a hamstring injury, while Darren O'Dea was expected to resume training on Saturday after a sprained knee.

But winger Damien Duff will play no part against Andorra as he remains sidelined with a calf strain.
