Ten-man Sweden maintained their 100 per cent record by hammering minnows San Marino 6-0 in the Nya Ullevi Stadion.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic opened up the scoring with eight minutes gone before San Marino shot themselves in foot as Davide Simoncini put through his own net four minutes later.

Kim Kallstrom effectively ended the game as a contest with a third on 26 minutes before Olof Mellberg saw red for serious foul play.

Substitutes Andreas Granqvist and Marcus Berg added further second half goals in between Ibrahimovic recorded his second of the night.

Holland edged out Finland 2-1 thanks to a first-half brace from Klaas-Jan Huntelaar.

The Schalke frontman opened the scoring after just seven minutes before doubling his side's lead with a 17th-minute penalty.

Finland hit back almost immediately through Mikael Forssell on 19 minutes, however the visitors couldn't find a leveller.

Hungary battled out a 2-1 win over Moldova to boost their hopes of finishing second.

The Hungarians lost their opening round tie against Sweden but hit back to record three points as Rudolf Gergely and Balaz Dzsudzsak struck after the break.

Alexandr Suvorov responded with 11 minutes remaining for Moldova but they couldn't find an equaliser.
