Bristol City have signed Tottenham winger Danny Rose on loan for the remainder of the season.

As revealed by skysports.com last month City were lining up a loan swoop for the England Under 21 international.

The deal includes a recall clause that becomes active after the first 28 days of the loan.

Rose shot to prominence towards the end of last season when he scored a wonderful volley in Tottenham's 2-1 home win over rivals Arsenal in April.

Spurs boss Harry Redknapp is happy to loan out Rose so that he can some more valuable first-team action under his belt.

Rose will not be part of the squad that travels to Scunthorpe on Saturday as he is nursing an ankle injury sustained on international duty.

Meanwhile, teenage defender Joe Edwards has joined Conference club Bath City on loan and Slovakian striker Peter Styvar has had his contract terminated by mutual consent.
