Cardiff missed the chance to close on Championship leaders QPR while Leeds staged a remarkable comeback against Burnley.
Cardiff could have moved within a point of the leaders but suffered a surprise 1-0 defeat to lowly Middlesbrough. Julio Arca scored the only goal of the game from the penalty spot, a win that moves Boro out of the drop zone.
