you guys have no idea what so ever it will be tough for england because croatia are only going to get stronger, they have great young players playing in the premier league a fantastic coach and probably the best supporters in europe so this time round i think we should really give them the respect they deserve otherwise there going to teach us another lesson of how you should play for your country with pride and passion no matter what situation you are in!

Croatia will be in the middle of re-building when the qualifiers start? That just proves how much you know about the Croatian football team. Modric is 22 y.o., Eduardo is 24, Kranjcar is 23, Corluka is 21, Rakitic is 19. Players like Srna, Knezevic, and Petric are not much older and new Croatian talents such as Mandzukic, Vukojevic, Lovren, and Kalinic are about to join the team after EURO 2008. If any, Croatia will be more experienced and better than the current selection. England and Croatia are the favorites here, though both teams should be careful about the Ukraine and Belarus. These are as well very talented teams that might pull a surprise or two.

Scotland have nothing to fear in their qualifying group for South Africa 2010. Whilst probably getting one of the most difficult 3rd and 4th seeds in Norway and Macedonia respectively I would deem the Dutch as one of the easiest of the top seeds and can't see Iceland posing any sort of threat. Macedonia are an unknown quantity to us having never met them before in any qualifying group or friendly but we have an excellent record against Norway and the Dutch don't seem to be scoring a lot of goals at the moment whilst our defence is reasonably strong. McLeish has instilled the pride and passion back into the squad and with such a young group of players we have the nucleus of a team who can remain with us for a long time to come and also have the ability to become technically better. Add to that the experience from a very nearly succesful Euro 2008 qualifying campaign in the so called group of death along with the return of the Hampden roar, I think we can look forward to going to South Africa in 2010 along with at least a couple more of the British nations.

You guys are so arrogant! Croatians just taught you a lesson, and you learned nothing from it! It seems like you need another one.

England cant take it for granted they will get through. I think that missing out this time will do them the world of good and they will be better prepared and more hungry this time. Croatia again will provide a difficult task and the Ukrain, although not the best team at the moment, are capable of taking points off the top teams on their day. Hopefully England will show the determination needed in each game to progress. As for my team Scotland, Holland are a tough proposition but that doesn't worry me. We certainly have an easier group than last time but that could be a problem for us because we often unexpectedly drop points against the smaller teams and perform miricles against the top sides. Heres hoping though that we can get more than one brittish team to South Africa because the Euro's wont be the same without a team to cheer on.

I can't understand how so many people are already saying that we have an easy qualifying group. Did nobody see the qualifying group for Euro 2008? That was allegedly an easy group and we failed to qualify from that. We, as a football nation are deluded. Our current crop of players are not good enough and the youngsters coming through will struggle also. We think qualification and success should come to us and, lets face it, it never does with the England football team. We need to realise that we are NOT one of the top 4 nations in European international football, never mind world football. Qualification is by no means guarenteed, especially with only group winners going automatically through to the world cup finals.

Another easy draw for England - Croatia will be in the middle of re-building when the qualifiers start and Ukaraine will be past it so in theory it should be an easy route to the finals - but then again this is England we are talking about!!!

England should not be worrying about their qualifying group. Yes there are one or two tricky trips into the unknown but we should easily have enough quality to make it through to South Africa.
