Muntari: Inter's new arrival

When it became clear to Inter Milan boss Jose Mourinho that Frank Lampard had his reservations about joining him, he turned his attention to FA Cup winner Sulley Muntari.

The Ghanaian footballer had an excellent season in the Premier League with Portsmouth and no one was expecting him to go back to Serie A after just one term.

In the space of a year he went from Udinese to Inter Milan, the Italian champions, which says a lot about the plaudits he earned through his performances on the south coast of England.

Last season Muntari improved in front of goal compared to his previous season at Udinese but he had less of the ball at his feet.

He made considerably fewer passes but increased his number of crosses.

Aggressive style

A more aggressive style of play means he attempted more tackles but at the same time he managed to control his temperament a bit better.

However, five red cards and 12 bookings in his last two seasons indicates he can still work harder on his discipline.
